Euris Villa Carpio, known in the electronic music world as EViiC (stylized as e7c), is an artist from the Dominican Republic whose musical journey began in late 2010. Inspired by trailblazers like David Guetta, Hardwell, Gregori Klosman, and Joeysuki, Euris first encountered their work through DJ BL3ND’s electrifying YouTube mixes, igniting a creative spark that has since defined his path.
For EViiC, music transcends the pursuit of followers or wealth—it’s about embracing a life of boundless creativity and sharing it with the world. Fame, while appealing, always takes a backseat to the art itself. After years of honing his craft, he overcame his reservations a few years ago and began releasing his work as EViiC, a process he now pursues with unrelenting passion. He finds equal solace in the stillness of production and the exhilaration of a rave, where pulsating basslines course through him, making dancing the only response until dawn.
His sound is a dynamic blend of influences, shaped by electro house, progressive house, big room, and EDM, later expanding into melodic house, techno, Afro house, organic house, and bass house. Self-taught on a half-functional laptop using Fruity Loops 8 (now FL Studio)—discovered through a YouTube Legend of Zelda medley—EViiC’s early years were marked by independence. After the pandemic, which left an indelible mark on everyone’s soul, he parted ways with FL Studio and embraced Ableton. This shift ushered in a new chapter, infusing his style with a distinct groove that continues to evolve. Though he’s yet to find a record label that mirrors his eclectic vision, his DIY roots and novice beginnings remain a source of pride.
Currently, EViiC is chasing an ambitious goal: publishing 100 original tracks. Fueled by curiosity, he’s pushing boundaries by integrating unconventional ideas into his music, including a Binaural Wave Generator crafted with his Python programming skills—a testament to his love for the weird, rare, and experimental. A perpetual student, he strives to refine his craft daily.
As an introvert, EViiC envisions fostering a community where like-minded creators can express their artistry and keep the musical flame burning brightly. Past collaborations with local friends drifted apart over time, but he’s found strength in his solitary journey, guided solely by his music. Reflecting on a path that began with that fateful YouTube discovery, he regrets not a single moment spent producing—each beat a step toward a life of purpose and creativity.
